Hello! It has been a very long time since I updated our blog. So I just wanted to write some things down before I fogot. After the next few posts, we are going to have the blog printed out as a book for the boys, and then we will be taking the blog down.
Vlady and Alexei you are wonderful sons, and are and will always be the joy of our lives. Becoming your mother has been the best experience and best achievement I will ever have in my life. I am so proud of you. I look back only a year and a half ago, and you look so small and so precious. I wish for that time again that we shared in the beginning. I also know there is so much more to come, but I don't want the time to go by so quickly.
Vladimir right now you are enjoying life so much. You love to sing. You sang a very special song to me last night "I love my mother, father, brother, babushka and dog, we are a family, a family, we are all in a family." Best song I will ever hear. You are always making up songs! You also like to dance. You are a very good dancer. I notice that you have a punk / alternative dancing flair. It is so fun to watch you dance. You are very creative. You have a good sense of color. When making things or coloring you always pick a neat combination of colors. You have an eye for what looks good and what could be made better. You are a good story teller because you have a great memory -- very sharp. You are good at relaying a story. You are very smart. You have know the English language for only 1 1/2 years and you got a 10 / 10 on your very first spelling test in 1st grade. You excel in math and are always curious as to why things are "how do fireworks work, what are they made out of", "where did the planets come from", etc. I think most importantly in your schoolwork is that you never give up, even though sometimes you may get frustrated with not knowing something, you always stick with it until you do. You are motivated. You are very athletic. You are good at every sport you do. You have a great sense of balance and reflexes. You will be able to accomplish any sport and excel at it. Right now, you love to run (you are FAST), swim, going to the pool and ocean, you love soccer, volleyball, and baseball. You seem interested in tennis and hockey but we just haven't attempted to play them yet. You are very competative, and always want to be "first." You love the outdoors, walking, camping (toasting marshmallows/smores). You love to climb anything! You love to ride your bike and your scooter. You learned to ride without training wheels in the summer of 2008 (very quickly!). You have a loving heart. You know right from wrong. You stick up for yourself. A woman cut in front of us in a line for food, I wasn't going to say anything, and you said to her "excuse but I think the line starts back here." (very politely). The woman looked at me as if I should say something to you but no way! You stuck up for yourself as you always should! Right now, you also love playing Leapster, watching Spongebob, and of course, Scooby-Doo!! You enjoyed Peter Pan early on and now you like a variety of movies, and like trying out new ones. You want to watch Bolt so badly - we need to get that movie. You just picked out your Halloween costume - a red Power Ranger! Your favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas (good choices). You have a good sense of humor and a great giggle. You love to retell your dreams that you had over night. You love Jack Johnson and Coldplay. You love your dog Jotsi (and Jotsi loves you). When we first started taking you to church and it was time for communion, you asked me if the priest was handing out vitamins to everyone! You love to play with your brother, you love to tease your brother, and you love your brother. You look out for him, you brought back Alex his own bag of candy from a party that you went to. You didn't have to do this but you thought of him and you made the effort. You love sunnyside up eggs, french fries, fish sticks, uncook ed cheese (never melted), pancakes, ice cream, cookies, PB&J, fruit, ceasar salad, pasta with alfredo sauce, yogurt, and pudding. You are slightly picky with your food but that's natural, everyone likes what they like. You like playing with your cars and trucks, you like Star Wars Clone Wars, Baukagan, Power Rangers, and Transformer stuff. You have the most beautiful eyes, and your cute little nose and California surfer blond hair. You are quite a handsome young boy. You will be great at anything you do!
Alexei you like so many things to. You enjoy your cars, trucks and airplanes so much! You love to play in the water, dirt, and mud! If there is water anywhere in the backyard, you find it and play in it. You are very smart as well. You also have a great memory and remember names of things and you can always figure things out. You are learning your ABC's and counting to 30! You can write your name and you enjoy school at home with first me and now Pops. You love books and love to look at the pictures and flip the pages and love the story that unfolds! You enjoy getting cozy, and comfortable and looking through them. You also love to sing and dance! You sing songs like "Ironman on a Mission!", "Black Cat", and many more! You also like to listen to different beats, especially you like music with an edge, more alternative/rock. You are always bobbing your head up and down to the beat, and shaking your one right leg in a very rock star stance. You love MCQUEEN the best! Whenever you have the choice to pick the movie you usually go for McQueen. You also love watching Spongebob. You love most foods, especially pizza, eggs, yogurt, fish sticks, french fries, hot dogs, ice cream, broccoli, brussel sprouts. You are not very picky about food and enjoy mostly everything. You love to take things apart, dismantling things. Any toy that you get, you usually try to take it apart into pieces! You also are very athletic and love to run, ride your bike (you learned to ride without training wheels on October 8, 2009), swimming, and soccer! You are very competative. We like to call you "otter" when you are in the pool because you were naturally also so relaxed and swam around like an otter would. You feel very comfortable in the water. You say some very funny things, and always want to tease. You also love your brother so much, you look out for him, tease him, fight with him, and always love him. You both together make a great team. You love Jack Johnson and Coldplay! You love to snuggle. You also like playing your Leapster (Spongebob, Creature Create), your Leapster My First Computer, you like playing card games (UNO) and board games (Candy Land) and Hungry Hungry Hippos. You love your dog Jotsi and Jotsi loves you! You are a very adorable boy with your big brown eyes and cute shiny blond hair, and cute little nose -- just adorable! You will be great at everything you do!
We all came together as a family, we all learned to love and trust one another. From this early experience you had, you will never be afraid to love, because we are an example of the risk, and the sheer joy and love that we gained from this risk. Always move forward. Everyone's experience in life is unique and different, and in the long run it is what you become that is most important. I love to watch you grow.
