Pizza and a movie...

We kept our ritual, Friday night pizza and a movie. The boys loved it! We watched “Meet the Robinsons,” in Russian. We bought it here the day before Vlady and Alex came home with us. Jayne also made microwave popcorn (that we brought from home), that truly was a hit. Each of us had a bowl of popcorn and both of the boys sat quietly munching their popcorn watching the movie. This was the first time that both of them sat quietly and watched something for longer than 15 minutes. They watched the entire movie. They both also went to bed, “Pora spot” time for bed, without resistance. We took Cyndie’s advice to try to have them listen to something during bed time. So we played the Russian lullabies, thank you so much Krista and Alex, the boys love them. We used to play them so they would start to calm down before nap. Today we had the boys go in their room during quiet time in the afternoon and turned on the CD outside their room and both of them fell asleep. We did the same thing tonight for bed and they love it, both laid in bed, listened to the CD and fell asleep. Vlady and Alex seem to enjoy our daily schedule and they are beginning to understand there are consequences. This is not to say they don’t test the limits, but it seems to be short time periods before they finally give in. Hopefully this will continue. They both are eating very well and Alex has to be gaining weight because he eats everything on his plate plus a little more, President of the clean plate club Carolyn. Jim and Linda it was good hearing from you, this is the boys first plane ride, we will see how it goes. Pano and Sperry we do not know who that couple is. There was a couple that left yesterday with their 5 yr. old son who we met but we haven’t met a couple with a 9 month old that just left. Thanks for writing to us…it’s good to know that everything we are experiencing is normal. Nina and Gary have you heard when you will be traveling? Thanks Ellen and Carolyn for taking such good care of our fur son, hopefully he is not stiff arming you at night! It sounds like he is getting a lot of exercise and will be in good shape when we see him. We will try to get more pictures of the Squirrel Rabbit tomorrow.
