Hi everyone,

The boys are doing better. They still cough during the day but not during the night. They don’t seem as congested as they did before. Rich is doing alittle better. Hopefully, tomorrow he will get even better. He has some nasty looking phlem coming up from his lungs. This really came on quick. He never gets sick and we are really surprised that he got it. He is trying to get rest, drinking hot tea, hot soup, and sweating it out at night. Cyndie tell the good doctor – thank you…we will get some honey next time we are at the store. We’ll try anything and I’m sure the boys will like it to. I forgot to let you know that we had a first yesterday – the very first throw up! It came on really fast…Vlady was playing hard before lunch and then feverishly drank down his soup…about 2 minutes later..he said …oh oh oh…and Rich and I thought he was trying to cough up a “luggie” but then all of the sudden…everything came up…all over Vlady, alittle on Rich and a lot on the floor. We cleaned everyone up and it didn’t even phase Vlady. He sat back down and finished his crackers. Today was a better day. We had a few tantrums before 3 p.m. but after 3 it got better. They get really excited when I or Rich begin making dinner (or lunch)..the come in and want to see and touch all the food and find out what is on the menu and look for samples too! We are really scared that they will burn themselves on the stove b/c it is so low and very accessible and they always want to touch it. So we told them they can only look and talk to me through a little window from the dining area to the kitchen. There is a picture of them looking through it at me yesterday. They are also really, really fast and if there is just one moment where either of us is not paying attention and they stick their little finger up there – yikes!! So they have been pretty good about staying away while preping for meals. Today we went to the White Rabbit to play for an hour. They have a pool table and the boys like to roll the balls around. There is also a calculator up there that someone left and they like to pretend that they are working the numbers on it too. It breaks up the day. We went for a walk down to the ocean today. It was really crowded with families picnicking b/c it is Sunday. There are like little wooden gazebo type things that the families eat in and hang out in. The boys saw a few trains too so they were happy. Katie – HI! We will pick you up a matrushka doll if we go shopping and if we don’t we’ll buy something up front and then send it to you. The lullaby CD doesn’t have any writing on it, so when we get home I’ll have to email you the website as it was typed out on a piece of paper for us from Alex and Krista the friends that gave it to us. Alex and Krista if you’re reading this and you remember the website can you leave a comment with it? If you don’t remember, that’s okay too. Glad to hear that Anastiya is doing well and better. We’ll have to email each other pics periodically to see how are kids are changing. Well tomorrow is day 10!!! At midnight tomorrow, it will be official - ! Tomorrow we will eat out at the White Rabbit to celebrate! Pano and Sperry thanks for all of your encouragement. We are feeling the same as you did and it’s good to know it’s normal. It seems that if we tire the boys out on a long walk and they don’t nap even though they have the opportunity, they fall asleep alittle easier at night. That’s what happened tonight…they fell asleep after the ritual two trips to the bathroom and 4 or 5 trips carrying toys out of their room before they fall asleep…not sure if they did this at the orphanage or not but they will take toys in to their room and then bring them all out of their room. We had the boys say what will be their new address at dinner tonight…they said CALIFORNIA, then CAMINO RECONDITO, then FULLERTON. It was cute to hear them say it. We then told them all the things that we would do in CALIFORNIA and that we would all be going as a family. A cute thing that Vlady did was that he noticed that Rich and I had all of our bags in our bedroom on a rack…so Vlady and Alex have rolly backpacks which were spontaneously kept by the TV in the living room when we first brought them to the hotel with us. So Vlady came out and got his Spiderman backpack and set it on the rack with our bags…as if to say…remember that I am going with you…or that this is where all the important bags are kept so I better put mine by theirs…not sure what he is thinking though. They love Sesame Street DVDs too but who doesn’t…Rich and I still love watching too…!! Tonight Vlady was dancing to the Silly Songs DVD. Alexei just looks wide eyed at the screen. Okay, off to bed – bye for now until tomorrow…have a good day…Sunday for you and Monday for us! The weather here has been beautiful…buds and flowers coming up! We love you!
